We are currently recruiting Master Composter volunteers across Shropshire, and I wondered if you could help by displaying the attached poster in your council office, or by forwarding it to any community groups in your area that you have links with.
We work with Shropshire Council and Veolia to help promote composting across Shropshire, in order to reduce waste and help the environment. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and there are many ways in which they can help, from attending community events, visiting local schools, talking to local interest groups or writing composting blogs or social medic tips, to name just a few. We are looking for people who are community minded, interested in composting or keen to find out more (full training provided!) with a few hours to spend every month. Volunteers get free membership to national gardening charity Garden Organic, travel expenses, and access to regular training webinars and socials throughout the year.
If you have local social media pages, it would be really helpful if you could like and share the link on our Facebook page: Shropshire Master Composters | Facebook
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
Thank you in advance for your help in promoting this opportunity.
