Application for prior approval under Class R of the General Permitted Development Order 2015 (Part 3 of Schedule 2) for the change of use of an agricultural building into a holiday let property (C1)
Overall Conclusion
This application is to change the use of Preens Barn from an agricultural dwelling into a
holiday let dwelling using Class R.
By changing the use of the building using Class R into a holiday let property it will enable the
agricultural building to be restored, securing its place in the landscape for hopefully another
100 years.
In addition, it will provide employment opportunities during and after the renovation of the
building. The construction process will provide employment opportunities for local builders.
And once finished the holiday property will be run as a business providing all year-round
work for local caterers, cleaners, gardeners and holiday rental hosts.
It is respectfully requested that this application to change the use class of Preens Barn under
Part R regulations is considered positively
