A49 closure

Please find below and attached details of forthcoming planned temporary traffic regulation orders -  these are in relation to the planned closure of the A49 by Network Rail in order to replace the rail crossing at Onibury.

 

It’s important to note that the temporary one way traffic order for Back Lane, Onibury will be monitored for its effectiveness and may be subject to revision – further updates will be issued as necessary.

 

  • Temporary 30mph speed limit:  B4365 – Log 227

 

Location: Culmington village – to temporarily replace the existing 40mph limit

 

Start Date:  Saturday 1 July

 

Duration: 10 days (24hrs)

 

Purpose:  To mitigate safety and speed concerns of potential extraordinary traffic during the restriction on the A49.

 

  • Temporary One Way order :  Lodge Junction to Junction with the A49 south of Onibury Bridge – Log 226

 

Location:  As above and per plan

 

Start Date:  Saturday 1 July

 

Duration:  10 days (24hrs)

 

Purpose:  In order to supply a safe “turn around” section for HGV’s during the restriction on the A49.

 

  • Temporary One Way order :  Back Lane, Onibury – Log 229

 

Location:  As above and per plan

 

Start Date:  Saturday 1 July

 

Duration:  10 days (24hrs)

 

Purpose:  To enable safe access and egress during the restriction on the A49.
