Shropshire Rural Communities Charity (RCC) is currently seeking two additional people to serve on their grant panels which distribute small grants to voluntary and community groups in Shropshire.

This is a voluntary role. The grant panels meet around four times a year during the day (usually morning), in Shrewsbury. Travel expenses are reimbursed. Additional time is required to read applications and reach a preliminary judgement prior to discussion at the meetings but in total, attendance at meetings and preparation beforehand should not total more than 12 hours per year. Induction training will be given which will require attendance for approx. 3 hours.

Grant panel members will need to have access to a computer in order to receive applications electronically (but these do not need to be printed out).

Grant panels members are handling sensitive confidential information and will therefore also be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
